Blurkers Rejoice
I know you’re there. I see the stats growing every day. Every once and a while, someone will post a comment, but mostly, you come, you read, you leave and I have no idea whether you got anything interesting out of your visit here.
I write this weblog for myself, but that doesn’t mean I’m not curious about you. Recently, Ward Jenkins had a Blurkers Rejoice entry on his blog and I thought it was a good idea:
Blurker (BLUR-kur): n. 1. One who reads many blogs but leaves no evidence of themselves such as comments behind; a silent observer of blogs. 2. One who reads many blogs but has no blog of their own; a blog-watcher or blog voyeur.
I’m interested in you, so please stop blurking just for today and leave me a comment telling me a little about you.
Why do you visit my blog? For the writing and stories? The photography? For the links to weird stuff?
Who are you? What profession are you in? Are you a boy or a girl? What do you do for fun?
How did you find my blog? Link? Another blog? The Quotations Page? Starling Fitness? Doing a search on Google?
Just for today, leave me a comment and tell me just a little bit about yourself. I’m actually very curious about you because you come and read my words every day and I never know who you are.
Laura, I met you and your husband at a Utah Bloggers dinner a few weeks ago. Since then I have been reading, and enjoying your blog. So you know, I am a guy, I am 24, and I am a content producer for a local bundled services providor. Thanks for the content!

I visit your site because your writing and photos are enjoyable. I enjoy the links to travel, gadgets, exercise and your general good vibe. I am not a true blurker as I do leave the occasional comment. who the others are i have no idea.. I am a guy and run a country store in Oregon with my wife. It’s for sale if anyone is interested (remax, randy grimes) I think i found your page via the quotes page one winter day several moons ago. As for now, u r in the favorites under cool blogs and Pick Me! pops up. Have a good day and keep up the good work! b

Why do you visit my blog? I have an excessive amount of free time usually. I like the stories and occasional odd link. Who are you? I am a professional slacker. I have been out of work (on purpose)for 3 1/2 years being Mr. Mom. For fun I’m an armchair political activist. I dabble in competitive shooting. How did you find my blog? I googled myself and there I was and there you were so here I am. I try not to google myself too often, I hear you can go blind. I promise to send an email the minute I get back to town. We’ll have our own 20 year reunion!
