It’s so nice to see your name, Schlomo! I haven’t heard from you for awhile!
You’re right about the 10,000 bells from Mom! It made me so happy! Here’s how the conversation went with Mike:
“Mom sent me 10,000 bells for New Years!”
“Who’s your mom in the game?”
“I don’t know. She just sends me letters and tells me things about my dad. The important thing is that she sent me 10,000 bells.”
I’m strangely pleased with the letters from Mom. My parents have been divorced for so long that I find it innately comforting to get letters from my mom talking about dad. It’s like that child in me that never wanted them to be divorced is appeased somehow…
