Kearns High Class of 1987 Reunion

After a tour of the school, we’re sitting in the cafeteria. Mr. Treseder is still teaching in the television lab. I found my old locker. They took out the senior bench. The ramp has a huge sign that says, “No Loitering.” The current SBOs say that there are no longer cowboys to sit on the ramp.

I couldn’t help but think of Calvin when they showed us the gorgeous baseball stadium.

I’m glad that we came. I remember dancing with Brian Ard in this cafeteria at a stomp. It’s like I can see ghosts everywhere.

  1. How wonderful it was to see you and all those who went to the reunion. Did you notice the smell? It still smelled the same – must be the cleaners they use. It was more than a reunion, it felt like a coming home. How reassuring to see what has stayed the same as well as the improvements that have ocurred over the years. The baseball field was incredible! It made me want to actually watch a game. I, too, was glad I went. It was great to see everyone who was able to make it. And, yes, I too danced with Brian – although it was in the gym. What a great dancer he was! Keep up the great work you are doing on this website. You are so talented.

  2. Heidi,

It was nice seeing you at the reunion. When I think about all those times when we were in Literary Magazine writing together, I am so grateful to Mrs. Peterson for giving me such good habits.
