Star Trek Continues: Kickstarter

Filed under: Personal History — Laura Moncur @ 12:00 pm

I just finished watching the first episode of Star Trek Continues and I want MORE!!! Here is a taste of what they can achieve if they get their Kickstarter funding.

Here is a link to their Kickstarter page:

I can’t believe how well they were able to recreate the feel of the original series. Right down to the wigs, skin texture and lighting. How did they get Michael Forest, the original actor who played Apollo?! And Chris Doohan is a shining image of his father as Scotty! Seriously, I just want the show to be the Scotty Hour. Just watch this “Happy Birthday, Scotty” vignette. It’s only a couple of minutes.

The actor playing the doctor is MUCH better than the guy they had on episode one.

I absolutely ADORE this quick vignette called, “You’ve Got The Conn.”

So much of my belief that I could do anything came from Star Trek and seeing a touch of that in this little vignette makes me so happy!

This vignette is a recreation of a scene from the original episode, “Turn About Intruder.”

I didn’t like this one as much as the others, but it’s all so awesome, I’m hoping the Kickstarter funds!

  1. Wow, they did do a good job recreating the feel of the original show. And Grant from Myth Busters?! Double awesome.
