KSL Interview for the Utah Geek Dinners

Filed under: Utah Geeks — Laura Moncur @ 11:46 am

Utah Blogger/Geek Dinner: July 2008 by LauraMoncur from FlickrI was contacted yesterday by Paul Nelson from KSL Radio. He wanted to know more about the Utah Geek Community, so I had him over to my house and gave him Thom Allen and Matt Reinbold’s name as well. You can read the interview here:

You can hear the interview here:

I’ve had trouble with Old Media before, so I was a little reluctant to do the interview. Mike even asked me why I was willing to do an interview after the trouble with the Salt Lake Tribune. I told him that it’s good karma. If I do this interview, there might be someone out there on their way to work listening to KSL who might feel lonely just like I did back in 2006. We might find that person.

By the way, our next Geek Dinner is TOMORROW. You can RSVP here:

  1. Why don’t I see any girls in that photo?

  2. That was a reasonably well put together article by KSL. Sometimes it’s hard to tell what they’ll do with the material in the end, but Paul Nelson did well by y’all. Weather gods willing, I’ll see you tomorrow night at the dinner!

  3. Misty,

If you look to the back of the photo, Kathy and Sheila are shown. Here’s a better photo of them with NakedJen:

And I forgot to take a photo of myself that month. We have a bunch of girls show up to the geek dinner every month, so please come along!
